Meet Annie

I grew up in the heartland of Iowa, where open skies and wide fields shaped my early sense of wonder. Years later, I followed that same sense of wonder—and my heart—all the way to Alaska. Since 2004, I’ve called Anchorage home, working as a fine artist and graphic designer.

My creative toolbox is ever-evolving. I love working with watercolor, acrylics, pen & paper, and digital media—each one offering a different voice for the ideas that come to life. I’ve never felt confined to a single medium; instead, I let each concept guide me to the materials that best express it.

Living in Alaska, I'm constantly surrounded by inspiration. Towering mountains, rushing rivers, crisp northern air—they all pour into my work, sometimes faster than I can catch them. Every day, I try to honor the beauty around me by creating something that reflects it, even if only in a small way.

Covenant House Alaska is a non-profit based in Anchorage which provides housing and supports to young people experiencing homelessness. We have been grateful to benefit from Annie's giant heart and commitment to community, as she has supported our events and mission with donations over many years.  She shares not only her talents with tangible pieces, but also her voice, raising awareness on her platforms and championing causes that are important to her. And we know we are not the only ones, as we see her work contributing to causes throughout the state. Communities, and truly our world, are richer because of people like Annie.
